Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

What is RCIA?
RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and is designed to teach the Catholic Faith to those who:
1. are unbaptized and would like to be received fully into the Catholic Church through Baptism;
2. have been baptized in another Christian community and seek full reception into the Catholic Church;
3. Have been baptized Catholic as infants but have not received the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

When does RCIA meet?
RCIA meets on Wedsneday at 6:00 pm to 7:15pm begining in October until April.

What should I do to start the RCIA?
Call to the parish office and let the secretary know your name and phone number. One of the RCIA team will welcome you and may be to set up a meeting for the first time.

When will I be baptized and confirmed?
Usually the candidates receive the sacraments of Iniciation on the night of the Easter Vigil.

Catechists and mentors work with interested adults through a process to gradually introduce them to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life.   A calendar of events is provided upon registration.
