Hello Parents and Students,
Here at Ss. Peter and Paul, it is our vision to help students come to a deeper realization of the Joy that is found in putting:
Jesus first
Others second
You third.
It is our mission to introduce students in concrete ways to the graces found in discipleship and forming Christ-centered friendships; to teach and help students understand the beauty found in living out Catholic morality in their every day lives; to form students in prayer; and to offer encounter and formation opportunities to prepare students for the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is through these means we strive to help our students better discover their identity, and unique calling in Christ in order to fulfill the great commission to be set ABLAZE with God’s love and “go into the world and make disciples of all nations.” ~Mt 28:19
Our Confirmation program has 3 Phases
Phase I: [Typically beginning in 7th Grade] Our first phase focuses on the beauty of Catholic Morality and the JOY found in living out a Christ centered life.
Phase II: [Typically beginning in 8th Grade] Our second phase of Confirmation focuses heavily on Sacramental Formation, seeing the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring of this year.
Phase III: [for 9th-12th Graders who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation] This third Phase of formation focuses on discipleship, and being sent forth to use the gifts received for the Mission you have been given.
Our program is designed to cut through the noise and talk to the hearts of our students. There is something in every human heart that longs for an identity that only faith can give. This program is an opportunity to ask questions and get answers, not just teach facts about the faith. We strive to provide an encounter with the living Jesus Christ and create a communiity that shares their faith together- moving outside of our church walls to live Christ's truth.
