Also, please note: the Chapel will be closed wen school is cancelled due to inclement weather in the winter. You may call the parish office to verify Chapel closings at 388-2995.

What do I do while in Adoration?

Many people are unsure as to what to do during Adoration.  Of course, the number one answer you will always get is to sit quietly before the Lord, enjoying each other’s company.  This is not always easy for many people.  There are books and booklets in the Adoration Chapel that you can use to assist you during your Holy Hour.  People oftentimes use their Holy Hour to read the Bible, pray the Rosary or Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  There are also books on the Saints in the Chapel.  Feel free to pray or sing out loud if you are alone.

The first thing you need to do each time you go to Adoration is to sign in.  This is important – we want to make certain the Lord is not left alone.  We have made it easy for you scheduled adorers – you just need to make a check by your name.  Thank you for taking care of this.  The sign-in book will be in the back of the chapel.



What do I do if I am unable to make my scheduled time?

If your scheduled hour is with another adorer, please make certain that at least one of you is present. If you have a substitute specific to your hour, call them. If you are scheduled for your hour alone and are unable to attend Adoration, please do the following:

1. Try calling someone (like a relative or friend or neighbor) who is not on the Adoration schedule to substitute for you.  This gives them an opportunity to spend time with the Lord.  Or . .
2. Try calling someone on the schedule you know who may be able to switch with you.   Or . .
3. Try calling a substitute from the Substitute List.   Or . .
4. Call or text Linda Zumwalde at cell 320-260-3715.

Is there Adoration when it is snowing?

If school is cancelled because of Winter weather in the morning, there will be NO adoration that entire day.
If school is cancelled because of Winter weather in the afternoon, adoration will be cancelled for the afternoon (at the time school is cancelled).
If you feel uncomfortable driving in bad weather, do not feel bad to cancel.  Just call someone to let them know (see section on “unable to make my time”).



What do I do if no one comes to replace me at the end of my hour?
If no one comes to replace you, see if someone is in any of the Parish offices.  They can perhaps make a phone call to get someone.  Otherwise, close the doors on the Monstrance.  This should be a very rare instance!
